Home of the Lebanese Armenian Relief Cross' Aghtamar Chapter. Better known as the
LOKH.
This women's non-profit social organization has helped the residents of Anjar, poor and
rich alike, by providing free or very cheap medical care and medication from the first
days of its establishment, June 8, 1943.
The building which houses the offices of the organization is also called the "Clinic". Visitor doctors from Beirut and Bekaa are the only source of professional medical care in Anjar. There is no hospital in Anjar. Therefore all emergency victims of accidents and other illenesses are taken to nearby hospitals, such as Al Mays Hospital and Dar El Shifa.
LOKH has a pharmacy in this building. The organization also organizes lectures, Kermes-Bazaars, and trips.
The location of the clinic and offices have been moved to a new
building in the Betias quarter. The location on the interactive map is
